How does Drive Flow work?

Download the Drive Flow app from Google Play or the Apple Store and complete the application process to get started. Members use the Drive Flow app to request their next vehicle, including when and where they would like the next vehicle delivered (Adventurer, Pioneer, Prospector). Explorer members must pick up and drop off their vehicle at the Drive Flow HQ. A Drive Flow concierge will deliver the fresh vehicle, transfer everything over to your new car, and ensure you’re all set to go. Flip into new cars as often as you would like in the Adventurer, Pioneer, and Explorer tiers. Our goal is to ensure you have the perfect vehicle for any occasion.

What is included in a Drive Flow subscription?

Every Drive Flow Pioneer and Adventurer subscription includes use of a vehicle, insurance and multiple flips between vehicles. Prospector subscriptions include 1 flip per month (Flips due to maintenance issues are free of charge and do not count against your flip allowance). Explorer members are able to flip as often as they like. For Adventurer, Pioneer, and Prospector tiers, the Drive Flow concierge team delivers detailed vehicles to your preferred location, within our flip radius. Explorer tier members will pick up and return vehicles to the Drive Flow HQ. We take care of all maintenance and repairs so you can focus on driving.



How do I receive my first vehicle?

Once approved, your Drive Flow concierge will work with you to deliver your first vehicle. We recommend you reserve at least 30 minutes for your first delivery so we may answer any questions and show you the ropes. In most cases, we will have you behind the wheel in a matter of days.

What vehicles are included with Drive Flow?

Drive Flow offers a variety of vehicles including sedans, coupes, SUVs, and trucks.

Can I upgrade into another tier?

Yes. Fees apply depending on what tier you are upgrading into. Pioneer to Adventurer is $25/day to upgrade. Prospector upgrades are $25/day to Pioneer and $50/day to Adventurer.

How long can I keep a vehicle?

Typically there are no restrictions on how long you may keep a vehicle. Occasionally we might need to ask for the vehicle back so that we may do routine tasks like preventive maintenance.

How new are the vehicles?

The majority of our vehicles are the current or prior model year. Each vehicle is thoroughly detailed before and after it ever goes to a member. Many of our members tell us that every vehicle feels like new!

What is the difference between a Prospector plan and a Pioneer or Adventurer plan?

Yes, eligible drivers must be registered as Additional Drivers and added to the member’s account.

How do I join Drive Flow?

Download our app here and hit “Sign up”. Follow the instructions to create an account. You will need to provide a credit card, select a tier and provide a picture of your driver’s license. We will verify your information and check your driving history. We may need to speak with you during that process. In most cases, we can approve an application within one business day. We will then contact you to get you started and schedule your first flip! Rest assured your credit card will not be charged until the day of your delivery.





Who is eligible?

In most cases, anyone 21 or over with a valid license and clean driving record.





What should I do with my old vehicle?

Own your current vehicle?



We will pay cash for your current vehicle. Call us on 1-844-DRV-FLOW (1-844-378-3569) to get started. We will use the Kelly Blue Book valuation (www.kbb.com) to determine the value of your vehicle.



Lease your current vehicle?



The best option is for us to appraise the leased vehicle and help the you compare that appraisal with the payoff amount.  If the payoff is lower than the appraisal, then you may keep the difference.  If the payoff is greater than the appraisal, then you may decide to pay off the difference out of pocket or keep the leased vehicle until the lease matures.

What is the Drive Flow activation fee?

The Drive Flow activation fee is a one-time charge of $500 for all new Drive Flow memberships in the Adventurer, Pioneer, and Prospector tiers. The Explorer tier has an activation fee of $250.

How well equipped are the vehicles?

The majority of vehicles are equipped with mid to high-end trim packages. Most of our vehicles have leather seats. Other options vary by make/model and specific vehicle. We cannot guarantee the availability of certain options.





Are pets allowed in vehicles?

We do allow pets in the vehicles, but we ask that they are transported in a crate. Subject to an additional $100/month cleaning fee and additional charges for damages caused by pets.





What happens if my vehicle needs repair?

If something unforeseen occurs, use the Drive Flow app to notify us and we will get you back driving.

Our goal is that you will never have to worry about maintenance or repair issues.





What happens if I get into an accident?

Make sure that everyone is ok and get your vehicle to a safe place. Notify the police and exchange information with the other parties. Once the situation is stabilized, call us at 336-770-2280. We will bring you a replacement vehicle and handle everything with respect to the vehicle involved in the accident.





How much advance notice is required for a flip?

We typically require 24 hours advance notice for flips, however, the best experience is to book at least a few days in advance. Booking a vacation? Go ahead and book your flip too. You are able to book months in advance! We will bring you the best option available.

Where can I find the insurance card?

View a digital version of your insurance card under the “Your Current Ride” section of your Drive Flow app homepage. Hard copies of the insurance card can also be found in the glovebox.





What about fuel?

All Drive Flow cars are delivered with a full tank of gas, and Drive Flow members are only responsible for the fuel they use. If you flip a vehicle without a full tank, your concierge will refill the vehicle and add the charge to your account following your flip. We never charge a fuel premium or convenience fee. We use Premium 93 Octane in our vehicles and please ask that they be filled with that while in your possession.





When is payment due?

A valid credit card is required during sign up. Your first payment will be charged the day of delivery of your first vehicle. Subsequent payments will be charged on a monthly basis, in advance. Any additional charges for gas or upgrades will be charged as soon as the flip ends. Toll and parking violations will be charged as invoices are received.





What is the minimum commitment to Drive Flow?

There is no long-term commitment to Drive Flow. If you decide to cancel your service we require that you give us 30 days written notice.





Can I pause my subscription?

Yes. Just pause your Drive Flow account for any number of days for a $400 fee. No lease or loan allows that! Then pick right back up where you left off for no additional charge!





Do you offer corporate memberships?

We currently do not offer corporate memberships. However, corporate credit cards may be used to pay for the subscription. Please email hello@driveflow.com for more details or questions.

Is there a mileage limit per month?

Yes, there is a mileage limit. Each member’s monthly subscription for Pioneer and Adventurer subscriptions will include 1,200 miles. For Prospector subscriptions, the mileage limit is 1,000 miles. Explorer subscriptions include 80 miles per day. We understand that some members need to drive more than the allocated miles in a month; we are pleased to announce that members will be able to drive as many miles as they need. Monthly miles in excess of the mileage limit will be automatically charged at the rate of $0.75/mile for Adventurer members and $0.65/mile for Pioneer and Prospector members. Explorer tier mileage overage is charged at a rate of $1.00 per mile.





What happens if I don't use all miles in a month?

Rollover any unused miles for three months at a time. If you go under one month and then over the next month, the first miles applied to the overage will be your rollover miles. Unused rollover miles expire after 3 months.





Are members responsible for their Drive Flow car?

Yes, we expect our members to take care of Drive Flow vehicles as if they owned them. Please drive responsibly, keep your vehicle clean, and let us know of any minor dings or damage via the Drive Flow app.





What data does Drive Flow collect?

We want to ensure the best service and safety for all of our members. To do so, we keep track of various data points to record vehicle and driver history. For more information on terms of use, please reference Drive Flow's Privacy Policy in the app.
